Over a decade has ped since I crested the hill of age continuum and yet it just dawned on me last year at 53, I should be getting more roll out of my drives than I did before! Seriously I’m no physicists but even I know that golf roll further down hill. And I’m definitely over the Hill!

Despite my convoluted theory, the evidence shows that I’m hitting the golf ball shorter and shorter each year. Not only that but I’m twice as pooped after each round! None of this seems fair…not when you consider the thousands of rounds played, hours practiced and dollars spent on golf equipment and golf lessons. All for what? Not since I fired my last financial advisor had I seen and ROI this bad.

In a last ditch effort to salvage my dying personal golf corporation, last spring I made a rather large investment in a robotic mage chair. Ping through the mall after a particularly brutal round of golf I popped in to a novelty store in search of a gift for a nephew. Instead of a present for him I ended up taking a nap in the stores demo shiatsu mage chair!

Needless to say the nap didn’t last long as I was awoken by a pimply sales kid who wanted to tell me all the model I was sitting and the benefits of mage chairs in general. In my foggy, have asleep state, I politely mumbled something just looking and stumbled out of the store.

It didn’t dawn on me until the next morning what an impact that brief encounter with the mage chair had. For the first time in years I awoke without a stiff back!

A little research online and I found that most experts agree that a good mage can help increase your flexility, prevent injuries and help you recover faster from a round of golf. Experts aside, I couldn’t argue with the way I felt, and I didn’t want to.

So I did indeed end up purchasing a mage chair, but not that pimply mall sales kid’s model. By doing some mage chair comparison online I found a whole world of superior products. Now I enjoy a mage in the comfort of my living room every morning and every night.

Despite dreams of rewinding my golf game 20 years not coming true, I can say this for sure, now that I regularly use my mage chair I feel a whole heck of a lot better after a round of golf than I did before. I walk on to the first tee with a loose back from my morning mage and that helps to keep me from aggravating my muscles during the round.

I may still be missing out on that extra roll on my drives from golfing over the hill, but at least the enjoyment is back! And that’s what really matters.
